General shop info.
Omo Studio is a seasonally-inspired and -informed craft studio comprising of the work of Jay Fiske and Kelly Schirmann. We are creative partners and life partners, and have been pursuing creative projects across many mediums, independently and collaboratively, for our entire lives. Omo was created as a way to house these projects under one roof: a selection of offerings that generally fall under the category of Home Goods, but which encompass lifelong creative practices and new directions in ceramics, sculpture, painting, woodworking, and more.

We have no interns. We have no employees. We have no shipping department or marketing manager or web development team or customer service line. It’s just us here, working out of our home studios, doing our very best to get these special objects out of our brains and into your homes. Everything we make is designed with purpose and intention, with beauty and functionality at the foreground, crafted at our home studio in Missoula, Montana, often with the help of community art spaces in our city.

The size and scale of this operation absolutely dictates our shop policies. We are intentionally small, intentionally intentional. We have no desire to involve machines, industrial processes, or unpaid interns. We are grateful in advance to you for understanding the human limitations and magical benefits of slow, steady, thoughtful craft.

Shipping policies.
We currently offer shipping options for USPS Priority Mail and UPS. All of the items listed in our shop are entered by size and weight, and shipping costs are calculated automatically, using that information, by Squarespace. These calculations are made accurately the vast, vast majority of the time. Sometimes, especially if you’re ordering several pieces, the calculations may be off. We will ALWAYS refund the difference in shipping costs if you are wildly overcharged.

After your payment is processed, you’ll receive an email confirmation that your order has been submitted. When your order is packed and shipped, you’ll receive another email to confirm your shipment, which will include tracking information. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST OR STOLEN PACKAGES. We strongly suggest that you track your shipment carefully and turn on any applicable shipping updates for your packages, especially if you live in an area where package theft is common.

We pack your items carefully and well, and experience very little damage in our shipments. If your item arrives to you damaged in any way, we ask that you send us a photo of the damaged item within 48 hours of delivery to request a refund or replacement. If you do not contact us about your damage within 48 hours, or don’t provide a photo, we may not be able to complete a request for refund or replacement.

Local pickup.
We offer a local pickup option at Homeroom in Downtown Missoula. If you’d like to pick up your order in person instead of having it shipped, please select PICKUP when you check out to skip shipping fees. You’ll receive a confirmation email when your order is ready for pickup, and you can stop by Homeroom (101 E. Broadway in Missoula) during their open hours to pick up your order.

PLEASE NOTE that if your billing address is outside of Missoula (or Montana) but you have selected the local pickup option, we will reach out to confirm that you can stop by the shop to pick it up in person. Any orders that require shipment but have selected the local pickup option will be cancelled.

Returns + exchanges.
ALL SALES—including ceramics, woodwork, paintings, textiles, or any item in the online shop—should be considered final.

We do not offer returns or exchanges once items have been received. Thank you for understanding that as a small “team” of two people, we simply do not have the capacity. We ask that you please read and review the description of each item carefully, including measurements and photos, before you purchase. If you have additional questions or concerns about any items that are not answered in the description, please reach out via email and we’ll answer them for you.

If you have received an item that is different from what you ordered, please email hello@omo.studio and we will make it right.

If your item has been damaged during shipping, please email a photo of the damage to hello@omo.studio within two (2) days or 48 hours of delivery. In case of damaged item delivery, we will replace the piece with the same item. If the item is no longer available we will refund you the cost of your order. If we do not receive notification / photos of damage within 48 hours of confirmed delivery we may not be able to refund your order. We do not offer refunds or replacements for items broken outside of the 48 hour notification window.
