Made to order Ceramics
It’s an honor to make the dishes you use everyday! We love making custom dish sets and accept special orders all year round. Our core table ware menu includes a range of our most beloved plates, bowls, cups, mugs, and more, though we can often accommodate custom requests too.
Our ceramics are all wheel-thrown, one at a time, by Kelly Schirmann, at our home studio in Missoula, Montana. They’re fired in the gas reduction kiln to Cone 10, a managed atmospheric firing process that results in unique surface texture. No two pieces are exactly alike! Which is part of what makes them so special.
To start a custom ceramic order, you’ll look through our catalog to determine your set. You can mix and match styles, glazes, and quantities as much as you like. Once you submit your order to us at hello@omo.studio, we’ll put together an invoice and send you an estimated timeline. For projects under $500 we require payment in full before production begins. For projects over $500 a minimum 50% deposit is required. We are happy to ship, and even happier to coordinate delivery. Reach out if you have any questions prior to ordering.
Because of the nature of gas reduction firing and the subtle variations across glazes and clay bodies, we recommend ordering all items in a given set at the same time. This will ensure maximum consistency across forms and styles.

Custom Artwork & Paintings
Since Omo’s inception, original paintings have been a core part of our studio offerings. Many of our most familiar paintings are from the Portal series, large-scale works that balance stable and meditative forms with dynamic texture and color that make for striking centerpieces. We love designing the right piece for your space, and can accommodate a wide range of sizes, colors, and materials in bringing your vision to life.
All our paintings and wall pieces are designed and produced by Jay Fiske, ideally and frequently en plein air, at our home studio in Missoula, Montana. We work with oil, watercolor, gouache, plaster and pigment and other earthen materials, depending on the look and placement of your desired piece.
Once we decide upon a general plan together, we require a non-refundable 50% deposit to hold your place. When your painting is ready for delivery, we’ll request the remaining balance and coordinate pickup, shipment, or installation.

Custom Furniture & Woodwork
Our work is designed to hold grounded, organic space in the home, balancing beauty and function while preserving the unique characteristics, silhouettes and feeling of the living wood. We love to design and build custom woodworks, furnitures, and kitchen items that incorporate subtle and modern live edge elements, pieces that preserve the connection between object and nature, material and source.
Overall we specialize in and enjoy making thoughtful furniture that utilizes simple design, clean lines, and a Japanese-Scandinavian aesthetic. We like to work with natural and unstained medium- to hard-woods like walnut, maple, cherry, and fir, but we are able to design and fabricate pieces based on your specifications and desires.
We’re always interested in collaborating on retail, residential, and restaurant build-out services on a variety of scales, with no project too small or large to consider.
