Wheel-thrown and hand-pieced stoneware Pedestal Bowl: a beautiful centerpiece for any shared space or altar. Featuring a glazed upper top bowl (safe for food, water, or plants), conjoined separated base, and smooth unglazed white clay exterior. Elegant and organic.
Pedestal Bowls are beautiful for holding sacred objects like stones, gems, feathers, or petals. They can also be beautiful ikebana centerpieces, and are wide enough for a 4” frog at its base. They also make a stately vessel for grapes, apricots, or flowers! A lovely creative piece that’s versatile, or beautiful enough to stand on its own.
This listing is for one (1) Pedestal Bowl. It measures approximately 5” wide and 5.5” tall.
Omo Ceramics are thrown and trimmed on a wheel and fired in a gas reduction kiln to Cone 10. The gas reduction firing process results in lots of texture and variation within and among pieces — this is part of what makes them so unique.
We use nontoxic materials, always. Pots are dishwasher safe, but we recommend hand-washing with warm soapy water and drying on a stable rack. This will make for happy, long-living dishes.
